We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy practice in Wath, South Yorkshire.  

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

You will be working within a multi vet team which consists of 6 experienced vets with a busy and varied caseload.

The branch has fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. You will be working within an excellently equipped facility, including access to digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital at 24 hour Dearne Valley, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.

We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice.

Salary & benefits
Full time salary package up to £55,000 dependent on experience, to include:

  • Accommodation allowance £5,400 per annum

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

We also offer relocation allowances should you move more than 40 miles from your current home address. 

Branch: 
Medivet Wath is located on Doncaster road just off the A633. The practice is easily accessible with Mexborough, Swinton interchange train station walking distance from the practice and they have onsite parking.

The large practice is equipped with the latest technology, including ECG, In-house lab, ultrasound, orthopaedic and operating theatre. As well as our in-house services at Medivet Wath, you’ll also get access to all the services available across the entire Medivet group.
