The Role

We are looking for an experienced and competent Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Lady Dane’s. This is a full-time position working 40 hours over 4 or 5 days per week with 1:4 Saturdays.

You will be confident with consultations, case workups and general surgery with some sole charge at times. Your passion will lie in developing not only your own skills but those of your colleagues also. We are looking for a dedicated team player who is keen to be involved in case studies, client, and pet care.

Salary

Salary for the role is up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience. 

About Us

We are a well-established purpose built, 100% small animal three branch practice with our centre located in Faversham and two branches in Charing and Whitstable. We pride ourselves on a good working environment, ensuring good wellbeing for our staff and clients. We are near to Canterbury, London and Dover allowing for easy for travel.

We have all the usual toys including separate cat and dog kennels to allow for maximum comfort for our clients, in house Idexx laboratory, digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and bronchoscope amongst others. All of our branches have ample parking for staff and clients, with a pet store next door to the main Faversham branch.

Team and Culture

Our team are dedicated to creating a positive working environment, ensuring the well-being of our staff and clients. We have a dedicated team of Vets and Nurses plus a support team of receptionists and a separate accounts function. We pride ourselves on being a traditional local practice offering the highest level of care for the pets of our community. The culture we have in practice is very important to us, as we have a friendly and encouraging ethos embedded within the team. We truly believe in supporting everybody throughout the working day whether it be over a cup of tea or in the operating room

Applicant Requirements

Post graduate experience is essential and some sole charge experience would be beneficial. In addition to your excellent clinical and communication skills, you will need to be a people-oriented person, who is willing to support and guide your colleagues at all times. Coaching and or mentoring experience would be an advantage. We expect you to have excellent bedside manner and have the welfare of your patients at the heart of what you do.
