Job Details

An opportunity has arisen for a head registered veterinary nurse to join our Stapleford practice.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice and provides the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas. It would suit an experienced veterinary nurse who already has head nurse experience or who is looking to develop their skillset into management of a small team in a supportive environment, with full support being provided by the branch team.

As a head veterinary nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and as a clinical coach, helping to support and develop the staff that wish to become student nurses. All of our head nurses are provided with dedicated support with other duties, such as recruitment and Health and Safety. While there are still administration duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!

This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week and 1:4 weekends.

Salary of up to £28,500 PA dependent on experience.

Employee Benefits:
• CPD allowance plus 2 days paid leave.
• 25 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Access to a large amount of in-house CPD.
• RCVS, VDS, BVA fees paid.
• Certificate opportunities paid for.
• Enhanced maternity/paternity leave.
• 24 hour access to wellbeing and employee assistance programme.
• Long service awards.
• Fantastic career progression opportunities.
• Hapibenefits - Exclusive retail, days out and holiday discounts available.
• Employee recognition.
• Peternity leave - a day off to introduce your new puppy or kitten into your home.
• Additional paid leave for exceptional attendance.

Medivet is growing rapidly and it is an exciting time to join us - we encourage growth and development within your role and are truly committed to help our Medivet family members achieve their goals.

Skills and experience: You must be a Veterinary Nurse registered with the RCVS.

Branch: Our Stapleford branch is a busy, popular practice ideally sited on the high street in Stapleford and is soon to receive a refurbishment.

The practice sees a variety of small animal cases and is always busy with its dedicated client base. Ideally situated for local transport links and close to the vibrant city centre.
