Farm Vet and Export OV Wanted

Based in Somerset, only 30 minutes from Bristol and Bath, we work with over 110 dairy clients (plus beef, sheep, and small holdings) striving to provide an excellent service through routine visits and herd health work.  Delivering training courses and providing export services are carried out alongside our core client work.  We have a large, friendly team of 14 vets, 4 TB testers, Vet Techs and supportive office staff. 

Due to the departure of two of our experienced colleagues to pursue careers outside of the veterinary profession we are looking for the following:

Farm Vet

We seek someone preferably experienced that is enthusiastic and good at working alongside farmers to form long lasting, trusting relationships.  Minimal TB work involved we can tailor this role to suit your interests and specialities.

Our out of hours is quiet, and currently weekends are 1 in 8 first on call.  You will work a 4.5 day week or 9 day fortnight.  We offer all the kit you’d expect plus specialist equipment and required training. 

Salary £32-45K DOE plus a monthly bonus, car, private fuel and benefits.   

Export OV

We are looking for an Official Veterinarian who can carry out a large proportion of our product export work, this could be a part time role that can be adapted to suit the individual, school term contract considered.  No out of hours work.

The right candidate will be diligent, organised and communicate well with our export clients and team.  Full training for product export panels can be completed once you start if necessary. 

Salary up to £45K FTE DOE plus monthly bonus and benefits.
