Job Description

If you are an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a warm and friendly team in the north Manchester area then our Swinton practice would love to hear from you!

The role is full time, 40 hours per week, but we can also consider part time hours.

You will have a fixed day off each week, with 1 in 3 Saturdays only, and no OOH.

We have the potential to take on a recently graduated candidate, or a more experienced Veterinary Surgeon.

There is also potential for a partnership with the right candidate, should that be something you are interested in.

Our great location means we benefit from a good variety of cases and a wonderful loyal client base and our well-equipped surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards.

Our practice is also located close to the network links, including the train station being across the road.

Our spacious standalone Swinton practice currently has a team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 4 Client Care Advisers and a practice manager.

Our Partner, Keely Walker, a 2004 Edinburgh graduate, is passionate about providing world class clinical care at the very heart of the com-munity. Keely has a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and an interest in medicine.

As well as Keely having CertAVP and an interest in medicine; one of our other vets is close to completing his surgical certificate and so we are able to offer more advanced surgeries in house such as orthopaedics and BOAS surgery/more advanced soft tissue surgeries.

We also have access to travelling cardiologist and abdominal ultra-sonographer meaning less referrals.

You are a dynamic and proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid all-round surgical skills. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring.

If you are keen to develop within your own area of interest, we offer a generous CPD allowance and, for the right candidate, the opportunity to study for a certificate.

In return we can offer;

  • Friendly working environment
  • Competitive salary (Up to £65k FTE depending on experience)
  • Generous CPD budget and support
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards, including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room and the Vet Group.
  • All Professional memberships paid.
