The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team! Working between Rosemary Lodge Hospital and Bath Cats and Dogs Home. Rosemary Lodge is a busy first opinion and referral hospital, the role will involve both consulting and operating. The role at Bath Cats and Dogs Home (RSPCA rehoming centre) involves examinations of new admissions, operating, consulting and giving advice to kennel assistants.

A full-time role, working 4 days per week. Monday & Thursday at Bath Cats and Dogs Home (9am-4.30pm), Tuesday & Friday at Rosemary Lodge Hospital (8.30am - 6.30pm) Off on Wednesdays. 1:8 weekends (day shifts) 2:9 Saturday mornings with no out of hours! 

About Us

Rosemary Lodge is a long-established Tier 3 Hospital with onsite MRI, CT, digital xray and in-house diagnostics. Our 7 satellite branches vary in size and facilities, but all have established teams and friendly clients.

About the Team and Culture

A team of 43 vets, 40 nurses - 140 employees in total. Bath Vet Referrals is based at Rosemary Lodge Hospital, the team includes medicine clinicians, surgeons and an ophthalmologist. We pride ourselves on our friendly working environment and our focus on staff well-being. Staff are actively encouraged to develop their skills and knowledge via in-house learning and CPD.

Referral team onsite at Rosemary Lodge Hospital. The successful candidate will share our philosophy of practising to the highest clinical standards.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in a small animal practice and have a keen interest in small animal surgery. Experience of working sole charge and in a busy hospital would be an advantage.
