Job Details

Are you an enthusiastic vet looking for your next clinical challenge?

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team in Sheffield Wadsley Bridge Vets4Pets.

This role will expose you to a variety of cases and give you the chance to demonstrate a keen interest in medicine. There are brilliant development opportunities available to the right candidate, including the potential to complete a certificate. Clinical freedom is encouraged and time is available to work up more complex cases. Any ideas you bring to help develop and promote the clinic will be greatly received and acted on where able.

We are looking for someone who can work a full 40 hour week with 1 in 3 full weekends on a rota basis but no OOH, as maintaining a work/life balance is an important part of our ethos.

You will be confident in routine surgery with the excellent consultation skills necessary to build lasting client relationships. If you have a specialism that is even better. Sole charge will be required.

Our Partner, Laura Pike, a 2008 University of Edinburgh graduate, leads
a fun and energetic team, with a great passion for patient care and well-being. We have a great relationship with the Pets at Home colleagues, working better together to enhance our working day. We also enjoy excellent support from our nursing team, with colleagues working towards anaesthesia certificates.

The practice is located in the city and metropolitan borough of South Yorkshire and with great transport links we are within easy reach of several International airports, as well as the Peak District for outdoor pursuits! You will work in a bright, air-conditioned surgery that is pur-pose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equip-ment including dedicated operating theatre, digital X-ray/in-house laboratory/ultrasound and dentistry facilities.

As you would expect from the market leader in small animal veterinary care, we offer:

  • Excellent career opportunities and development due to our varied case load
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Generous CPD and funding of certificates for the right candidate
  • Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS)
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service and would like to join our team, we would love to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunities employer.
