Job Details

We are seeking a friendly, dynamic Veterinary Surgeon to work in our Heaton Chapel clinic (Lea Green Vet Centre)

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of small animal practice experience and be confident working sole charge. A client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills is a must, alongside the ability to work to a high standard both medically and surgically.

This role will be working alongside our experienced lead vet 3 days a week and sole charge 1 day per week.

Salary and hours

This role works to a 4 day week with either 1:3 Saturday's or 1:6 full weekends

A generous £1500 CPD allowance is also designed to drive your progress with 3-days CPD leave and RCVS, VDS and BVA membership paid. 5 weeks annual leave allowance, plus blank holidays. 

Key accountabilities:

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

This exciting opportunity has arisen due to the practice rapidly growing during COVID.

The clinic is well-equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in house blood machines and is currently undergoing some refurbishment works.
