Job Details
Our client in Lancashire have a vacancy for a farm/equine vet to join them on a full time basis, working a 4.5 day week.
The role generally covers an even split of farm and equine, however our client is happy to support interests.
The rota involves on call work for 2 in 5 weekends, split between 2nd on call and first on call. There is also 1 night per week on call. As a growing practice this is set to reduce in the future.
The equine services our client offer include dental visits, full vaccination, micro chipping, lameness, passports, pre-purchase inspections, routine health checks. The equine facilities and equipment include multiple battery powered diagnostic tools including x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopes. They are also constantly investing in new equine based diagnostic equipment.
The farm work involves working with large farmers and smallholders, taking full care of virtually all regularly kept farm animals, beef, dairy, alpacas, poultry, pigs and anything else their clients take on!
The successful candidate will work with a team of 5 other veterinary surgeons.
