About Us

Come and work with us in one of the most beautiful locations in the UK. Our central Cardigan small animal practice is just 10 minutes from the large sandy beach at Poppit Sands, with the equally beautiful beaches
at Mwnt, Aberport or Newport just a short drive away.

If you love spending time surrounded by spectacular scenery then
the Pembrokeshire/Ceredigion coast path and Preseli hills are hard to beat. In addition, Cardigan is a thriving hub for independent shops and restaurants, including Huit Denim, Yr Hen Printworks restaurant, Stiwdio 3 cafe and The Welsh Wind gin bar to name a few. If you fancy a change of lifestyle, or already live and work in our beautiful part of Wales, then get in touch to see for yourself what we can offer.

We have a modern practice in central Cardigan with 3 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, x-ray room, dental x-ray room (currently under construction), laboratory with IDEXX machines, kennels, and cattery. In addition to our Cardigan small animal practice, we also have
2 satellite small animal practices in Crymych (in the Preseli hills) and Aberaeron (a popular Georgian harbour town) to serve local clients. We have all the specialist equipment you would expect of a busy and thriving practice and offer a range of advanced treatments including laparoscopy and cruciate surgery. Our unique selling point, apart from the beautiful location we live and work in, is our supportive and friendly team.

In total we have 14 vets - 7 Small Animal Vets, and 7 Large Animal Vets who operate from our farm and equine practice which is also in Cardigan. Our experienced RVNs, SVNs and ANAs  provide effective support for our Vets during operations and consultations, while our support staff and receptionists ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Our normal working hours are 8:30am-5:30pm (no late evenings consulting!) We are proud to still run our own out-of-hours service which is greatly appreciated by our local clients. The OOH rota is currently 1:5.

Applicant Requirements

We would like an experienced Vet who is keen to progress in their career. Ideally, they would have some experience of managing a Vet team, either at the Clinical Director level or otherwise. We would also be interested to hear from anyone who is ready to step up into a Clinical Director role with our support.
