The Role

Here at Bishopbriggs Veterinary Centre we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. The role will include general first opinion Vet duties such as consulting and operating.

The rota will be 3-4 days per week, but this can be flexible. The shift pattern includes a share of evening surgery and weekends will be 1:3 Saturdays. There are no out of hours.

Salary

Up to £45,000 negotiable D.O.E.

About Us

We are a 2-site practice, with one branch in Bishopbriggs and one in Chryston. Both locations are around a 15-20-minute drive into Glasgow City Centre. Our operating facilities have a prep area, lab, and one theatre. Both branches have digital x-ray and ultrasound, lab equipped with biochemistry machine and microscope. Chryston has a separate cat and dog ward and Bishopbriggs will be getting a refurb next year!

We currently have 11 Veterinary Surgeons that are a mix of full time and part-time, 6 Nurses, 5 Receptionists and 2 Support Staff.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take on a range of consulting and operating roles. The successful candidate must have good client relationships and interpersonal skills are essential

We have a good mix of experienced and new Vets but ideally, for this role, the candidate would have 2 years + experience. Currently, the role is part-time but for the right candidate we would be more than happy to look at a variety of hours and we could be very flexible when it comes to shift patterns.
