Job Details

Our client on the outskirts of Cardiff City are looking for a Small Animal Vet to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a 2-branch practice with an experienced and supportive team who are more than able to support a new or recent graduate but also welcome applications from more experienced vets looking for a better work/life balance.
All staff work across both branches (just 3 miles apart) which allows the team to ensure the same standard of care and services offered in both.

The full time rota is worked over a 4-day week with just 1:4 Saturday mornings and no out of hours work. You will have the same day off each week to keep the rotas stable and allow you to plan things outside of work. Each weekly rota includes same late night or early start days each week, with the exception of holiday or sick cover. Days are 2 x 9 hour days and 2 x 10 hour days (the longer days include 1 hour admin time).

This large team of 10 vets, including 4 Certificate holders (2 in Surgery, 1 in Medicine and 1 in Diagnostic Imaging) plus another 2 vets studying for Advanced Soft Tissue Surgery and Cardiology plus 8 RVNs, 2 trainee nurses and 2 VCAs are dedicated in providing pet care without compromise and continue to invest in their staff and surgeries.

Both branches are equipped with digital xray, ultrasound, in house bloods and full surgical facilities, plus dental xray facilities at one branch and a full refurb due at the other branch later this year.

Salary is competitive and dependent on experience with generous benefits including a good CPD allowance and RCVS subscription paid.
