Joining our professional, personable team in our Leamington Spa Hospital, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse or final year Student Veterinary Nurse with small animal practice experience, you put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a busy team and possess the confidence to work alone when required; you will have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and be happy to get stuck in wherever needed. The position is working 40 hours per week (SVN 43 hours per week) with 1 in 6 weekends (TOIL for the weekends). 

Salary and Benefits

RVN Salary £21,330 - £24,565 per annum depending on experience
CPD allowance £300 and 2-days CPD leave per annum and in-house CPD available

Medivet Leamington Spa is a modern 24-hour Veterinary Hospital that offers a safe and secure working environment in the heart of the beautiful town of Royal Leamington Spa in Warwickshire close to Stratford-upon-Avon and its theatres. Leamington Spa has excellent road links close to the M1, M40, M6 and Birmingham Airport is just a 30 minute drive.

Our busy RCVS accredited multidisciplinary Hospital is fully equipped with digital x-ray facilities including dental X-ray, ECG, ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, bronchoscope, multiparameter monitor and well-equipped for laparoscopic and orthopaedic surgeries. Other facilities include 3 consult rooms, 1 dental room, a theatre, imaging room, full in-house lab and separate cat and dog kennel areas as well as isolation kennels and recovery kennels in a large prep room with 2 additional work stations.

You will be fully supported within your role by 14 other Dip AVN's/RVN's/SVN's and support staff. We have a dedicated Client Care Assistant team at the Hospital therefore no reception duties will be required within your role.  

The role will be supporting 10 FTE vets, including certificate holders and others working towards certification.

Our 24 hour centre in Leamington Spa is just one of 25 across the country that supports our practice network in the region, we have a dedicated night team in place who are responsible for dealing with all out-of-hour care within both the hospital and the surrounding Medivet clinics.
