Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our successful, well established hospital in Dearne valley. This role will also include working sole charge at our very busy small animal clinic in Goldthorpe on a rotation basis.
Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.
As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.
You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.
The role is working 4 days per week and 1 in 6 full weekends.
Salary & Benefits:
Up to £55,000 salary package depending on experience

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
Skills and experience:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.
We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.
Branch:
You will be working within both a well-equipped Hospital and practice, facilities include digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. You will also have access to our state of the art CT scanner and MRI.
Dearne Valley is a 24 hour purpose built facility with 3 large consulting rooms, 2 theatres, large prep area, internal lab facilities and large learning and office spaces.
