Job Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to work alongside and lead the fantastic team in our Ashby practice. Medivet Ashby is a large practice with 3 consult rooms, 1 double surgical theatre, dental suite, digital x-ray room, prep area, separate dog and cat isolation rooms, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and inhouse blood machines. We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community.

The role is working 4 days per week plus 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 full weekends with no out of hours.

Negotiable salary package up to £65,269 PA depending, including:

  • £1,500 CPD Allowance plus 3 days CPD leave (FTE)
  • Accommodation allowance £5,400 per annum.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate in diagnostic imaging or internal medicine and be looking to develop their clinical skills, client base and reputation in our busy first opinion practice. We are looking for a great communicator, someone with ambition and drive to ensure our wonderful clients and patients are given gold standard care. As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically and have the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

We also offer relocation allowances should you move more than 40 miles from your current home address and can support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.
