Small Animal Vet Role, 3 Vet Practice, Hertford

I am recruiting for an excellent first opinion Small Animal Veterinary practice based in Herford. We are seeking a Vet to join a great team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Veterinary Surgeon to join an established Small Animal Veterinary practice in Hertford. You should enjoy working within a supportive team atmosphere and have strong communication skills delivering excellent patient and client care.

The practice is a spacious, modern and purpose-built practice allowing an excellent facility to provide gold-standard Veterinary care. There are 2 consultation rooms, a theatre, a prep area and in-house lab. You can enjoy working with toys including digital x-ray and ultrasound.

You will be joining a team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons. The practice owner is a highly qualified and experienced surgeon with interests in soft-tissue surgery and oncology providing full support for the new Vet joining. You will be supported by 3 RVNS, a clerical team and a practice manager!

The role is a great role for an all-round GP Vet, there is a great balance between surgical procedures and consulting days. The practice works to 20-minute consultations.

If you are working towards a certificate or If you have any areas of interest and future plans to start a certificate then the practice will fully support and encourage this. CPD is actively funded to certificate level for the right Veterinary Surgeon.

Key Duties

The role offers an excellent work-life balance with just a 4-day working week. There is no additional OOH work or on-call work required with this position. Weekends are on a rota basis of just 1:3 Saturdays with time off in lieu.

Package and Benefits

The position offers a fantastic remuneration package including a competitive starting basic salary around £45,000 per annum dependent upon experience. Additional benefits are included in the package including RCVS fees paid, VDS cover, and other memberships included. A generous CPD allowance is on offer with funding available to certificate level.
