The role:

We are seeking a Mobile Veterinary Surgeon to join us in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. 

Merthyr Tydfil is a busy main practice, providing a great opportunity to work in a busy practice with a varied caseload including advanced surgery and medicine. 

This role will be based mainly within Merthyr Tydfil with flexibility to cover the other branches in Mountain Ash and Ystradgynlais, as required. 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience, highly competent both medically and surgically and have the ability to work sole charge if required.

Salary and hours

We work to a 4-day week with 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends - no on-call required! 

We offer a competitive salary with £4,200 accommodation allowance, vehicle or £2,500 allowance, £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3-days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership. 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays. 

Branch:

Our clinics offer state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound facilities including cardiac probes, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment and much more. 

This role plays a crucial part across our teams, it's a fantastic opportunity to work in different environments, allowing you to gain varied exposure and learn from a diverse team of veterinary professionals.
