The Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a small animal Registered Veterinary Nurse at Catley Cross Veterinary Clinic!

You will be expected to work 40 hours across 4 days on a varying shift patter. There will be some weekend and out of hours work, you will not be required to work overnight.

About Us

Catley Cross Veterinary Clinic is a growing clinic, located just outside of Halsted on the Essex Suffolk Border.

The office, reception facilities and five further in-patient stables were built in 2003 and a horse walker was installed in January 2009. In 2014 we added a new building in the southern corner of the yard with a purpose-built examination room complete with stocks and living accommodation above. In 2016 isolation stables were erected, away from the clinic enabling infectious cases to be treated away from other patients.

We have six 100% Equine Vets all with interests in different areas of horse care and we cover a large geographical area treating competition horses, retired ponies, racehorses to donkeys. With an excellent team
of Equine nurses behind them.

The small animal department has six veterinary surgeons, six nurses and an animal nursing assistant. We have consultations running all day from 8:00am through to 6:30pm with surgery on each week day.

The Clinic has been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Tier 2 Equine and Small Animal practice; this is in recognition of attaining a set level of standards and quality. The clinic has excellent facilities including its our own operating theatre, laboratory and stud.
