Veterinary Surgeon

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team. The role is full time (5 days x 8 hour shifts) plus every second Saturday morning (4 hours). No OOH. The role would involve a mix of consulting and operating days. We offer a diverse caseload beyond just routine ops and vaccinations. Clinical freedom and case follow through
is encouraged. We would look to pay £40,000 - £45,000 and we offer a generous relocation allowance for anyone looking to move to the area.

About Us

The practice is based in Herne Hill, beside Brockwell Park. We are close to transport links. We have one operating theatre and a dental suite including dental x-ray and separate cat/dog wards. We have 3 full time Veterinary Surgeons, a Practice Manager and 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Receptionist, 2 VCA’s and 2 Student Veterinary nurses. We actively encourage further development and one of our vets are currently studying for a certificate in medicine.

Applicant Requirements

The role would suit a vet with solid experience in first opinion practice. Must be RCVS registered. Previous exposure to non-routine cases would be great plus the ability to step up and take ownership of your caseload. Excellent communication skills are required together with very strong surgical skills and the ability to meet deadlines. We require a motivated individual with a focus on delivering an exceptional service to our clients.
