Small Animal Veterinary Surgeons

Hollybank Veterinary Centre is an independent small animal practice across two sites. Our flagship Hospital in Sandiway is an independent RCVS accredited small animal hospital, nurse training practice and gold cat friendly clinic which strives to provide the highest standards of first opinion care for our patients and clients. We are proud to provide our own 24hr emergency service.

We also have a brand new purpose built standalone practice in Winnington. Here we provide the same standard of care, with only overnight inpatient care and the emergency service being transferred
to our hospital. 

We provide excellent care to pets and their owners in a friendly and professional environment.

Our Team

We have ten vets with Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine and are fully supported by an experienced and dedicated front of house team. We also have visiting Specialist vets in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic imaging. This allows us to provide a fantastic standard of care to all our patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases.  Our fantastic nursing team of 9 RVNs and 3 SVNs is led by a DipAVN and includes ECC certificate holders. 

As an employer, we are committed to promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of all our staff. We have a very friendly and inclusive team right across the practice with vets, nurses and reception staff all supporting each other - we are looking for the right candidates to maintain and enhance this.

We would like to add two vet surgeons to our growing practice team - ideally with a minimum of two years' experience although we may consider less.  The right candidates will truly care for our patients, be good team players and  be enthusiastic, proactive and motivated to provide a high quality first opinion service to our patients and clients. We provide consistent support and the opportunity to improve and grow as a vet. Post-graduate qualifications are encouraged. 

Our vets enjoy a 4 day week plus a half day off either side of a night or weekend on-call. Our rota is currently 1:8 with time back in lieu for weekends worked.
