At CVS Group we are one of the largest integrated veterinary groups in Europe with over 7,000 amazing colleagues and over 500 veterinary practice sites across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. Alongside veterinary practices, we also operate pet crematoria, laboratories, a distribution centre, an online business and buying groups.

Applications are now invited for you to join us on a 12 month commercial internship, working directly with our Chief Operating Officer. You will be involved in a range of business and commercial activities, including, but not limited to, working on the project to refurbish existing facilities, relocate facilities, and create start-up veterinary practices. The role will suit you if you are highly motivated, ambitious and would like to rapidly develop your understanding and expertise in the commercial areas of veterinary business, including:

• Financial planning and business development
• Project management
• Property development
• Commercial Negotiation

To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate

• Proven experience working within a veterinary business
• A strong work ethic and desire to excel
• The ability to travel (at times) significantly
• Strong mathematical and literacy skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organisational skills

Desirable experience but not essential

• Experience working as a qualified veterinary surgeon
• Exposure to and basic understanding of key financial terms and concepts
