The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Clinical Manager to join our team here at Kingsway Vet Group, Skipton Veterinary Hospital. The working hours may be negotiable for the right applicant.
We are looking for a dedicated RVN to take a clinical lead within our nursing team. Based at our RCVS accredited hospital in Skipton you would have some responsibility for managing and co-ordinating theatre, liaising with vets to prioritise procedures to ensure a smooth running from day to day. We are looking for someone who strives for clinical excellence resulting in high standards of care for the pets who visit our hospital.
This role is full time, however for the suitable applicant working hours may be negotiable. Our core working day is 8.30am - 5.30pm. There may be some later shifts required on the nursing rota to 7pm. We do provide our own OOH service so there may be a requirement to pick up some ad hoc cover for holidays or sickness but we anticipate this role to be carried out during the core working hours, Monday to Friday. The salary is dependent on experience.
You must be extremely well organised and have lots of enthusiasm and energy to lead, motivate and encourage the nursing team.Other duties will include leading clinical audits, clinical coaching for student RVN's, nurse appraisals, lead and develop nurse clinics, keep up to date SOP's, risk assessments and health & safety paperwork associated with both the running of the practice and adhering to RCVS PSS guidelines in order to retain our accredited hospital status.

We have a full in-house lab, ECG, digital x-ray, rigid and flexible endoscopy, ultrasound with colour flow doppler. We have a number of multi-disciplinary certificate holders so the work is varied.
We truly value our nurses and opinions. You would work alongside the nursing team and so will be involved in all aspects of veterinary nursing including clinics, post op and in-patient care.
Applicant Requirements
We require an experienced RVN who has advanced clinical skills preferably with a Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
