About us:

We’re a community of passionate veterinary professionals committed to providing truly exceptional care. We’re set on building something extraordinary: creating the most forward-thinking and innovative place in the veterinary industry.

We’re always looking for people who aspire to stand out in their field, and it’s this vision and enthusiasm that forms the foundation of how we work.

Our mission to deliver progressive, around the clock care means our employees have the very best equipment and treatment options available, including in-house MRI machines and state-of-the-art operating theatres.

We provide ongoing support to our teams, both in practice and through our dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from our advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a certificate holding Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal practice in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales.

This role offers a package of up to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience which includes £4,200 accommodation allowance, vehicle or £2,500 allowance, £1,500 CPD allowance plus 3-days CPD leave, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership and 5-weeks annual leave.

Our busy main practice is part of a group with two other clinics, Mountain Ash, and Ystradgynlais. You will be based at our Merthyr practice, however you will be expected to cover and support our other local practices when required.

The ideal candidate will have a certificate in diagnostic imaging or internal medicine and be looking to develop their clinical skills, client base, and reputation in our busy first opinion  practice. The clinic is well equipped for internal medicine and imaging work up with support from the wider Medivet community. Our local clinics will feed cases in to you as well as your own cases that you generate.

Skills and experience:

Ideally a certificate holder, or be studying for a certificate in internal medicine or diagnostic imaging.

Branch:

Merthyr is the main town in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, close to the Brecon Beacons and set in beautiful countryside with plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area.

We offer state-of-the-art equipment such as ultrasound facilities including cardiac probes, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment and much more.

This is a great opportunity to work in a busy practice with a varied caseload including advanced surgery and medicine. The successful candidate will work alongside a friendly team of knowledgeable vets and an amazing support team with experienced RVN's.
