An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to support our Ashby region in Scunthorpe. 
We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice and get to know the other vets within group and discuss clinical matters.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary package up to £60,269 per annum depending on experience, to include:
-Basic salary up to £50,000 per annum
-Accommodation allowance £5,400 per annum
-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum
-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum
-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum
-4 day week plus 1:3 half or 1:6 full weekends (average 39.37 hours per week)

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Branch: 
Medivet Ashby is a large busy practice with 3 consult rooms, 1 double surgical theatre, dental suite, digital x-ray room, prep area, separate dog and cat isolation rooms, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and inhouse blood machines. We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. 

This is a unique role that provides case diversity and the opportunity to gain experience working within 6 different environments, this is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills and experience. We have an excellent support structure in place and you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice whenever you need it. You will be working within a group of 6 practices all within 25 minutes of each other. 

Scunthorpe is located in North Lincolnshire just off the M180 and M18 motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and York. It is a bustling town with restaurants, cinema, shopping parks and many other activities.

For those who enjoy country air and long walk, Scunthorpe is a stones throw away from the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the highest land between Kent and Yorkshire. In the Wold there are many quaint market villages with plenty of independent shops and history to explore.

To the East there is the popular seaside resort of Cleethorpes with many traditional seaside restaurants and activities, the boating lake, The Jungle Zoo and Cleethorpes Light Railway
