Are you looking for a role with plenty of support?

Looking for a well equipped practice and supportive team to nurture your skills?

Then come and join our practice in the Reading area!

Here at Burghfield and Goring Veterinary Group we are a group of three well established, RCVS accredited practices as we work closely with the Tilehurst Veterinary Centre ensuring access to lots of support across all 3 surgeries. Our sites have all the usual toys, such as ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, a tonopen and an on-site laboratory for diagnostic testing. We are extremely proud of our team which is made up of fantastic vets (including certificate holders), experienced nurses, a great Practice Manager and support team too. Several of our team have been with us for over a decade, which we hope shows that we really value our people. As a team we are excited to now be able to recruit and support a New or Recent Graduate Veterinary Surgeon to our team. In your new role as our New Graduate Vet you will be automatically enrolled onto our New Graduate Programme. We can offer you dedicated support and training to help you flourish and will assign you a dedicated mentor for the first 3 months that will provide 1:1 support to help you develop both your clinical and client skills.

This is what some of our vets on the CVS Graduate Programme say:

“Throughout my first year as a new graduate on the CVS Graduate Scheme I have felt very supported both in my practice and externally through being a part of CVS. The practical CPD we get to do is definitely my favourite part as it also provides an opportunity to network with other fellow graduates while covering some essential topics for first opinion practice. I would highly recommend the programme to any new graduate as it provides a supported and structured start into your veterinary career.”

“My favourite part of working as a new graduate vet for CVS are the opportunities offered by such a large cooperation. The experience and possibilities are great when you are trying to find your own path according to your passion. The CPD offered is also invaluable and there is a great support network.”

These are just some of the benefits of joining us:

Salary of £31,000 which increases to £33,500 at the end of year 1 and £36,500 at the end of year 2

No financial tie-in beyond completion of the programme.
