Senior Clinical Director – Northern Ireland

Then we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vet with an interest in leading committed and supportive teams across various practices in Northern Ireland on a 12 month Maternity cover contract. We are looking for a Senior Clinical Director to lead and develop the teams at Three Valleys Vets & Campsie Veterinary Centre, Co Tyrone, O'Reilly & Fee, Co Armagh and Strule Vet Services, Co Tyrone & Armagh.

The successful candidate is expected to possess inspiring leadership skills and will be collaboratively working with the Regional Director, fellow Clinical Directors and support team to influence regional development and performance. Along with leadership and management duties the role also includes clinical work and therefore constitutes an opportunity to fulfil both leadership and clinical aspirations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Working and striving towards achieving our Company Purpose, Vision and Strategy locally
  • Support and revive CVS Core Behaviours & Values by focusing on people engagement, development, motivation and career progression to improve job satisfaction, performance and attrition rates
  • Overall responsibility for the clinical and behavioural standards within the practices ensuring they are in line with the RCVS code of professional conduct and the CVS Clinical Governance standards
  • Work in partnership with other management within practices to optimise service to clients and patients in order to develop the business by maximising turnover and productivity
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the practices in conjunction with the Practice management, Clinical Director/Head Vet and Regional management
  • Responsible for control of employment costs and general overheads
  • Provide appropriate surgical and medical care to patients, adhering to the RCVS five principles of practice
  • Attend scheduled Regional and Hub meetings, Conferences and roadshows
