Hours: Permanent, Full time, 4 days per week, approx. 1 in 10+ weekend/night rota

Salary: VERY Competitive, dependent on experience £25-30k (package) per annum, pro rata.

VetFinders are currently recruiting for a wonderfully independent practice with a hospital in Sandiway, Cheshire and a standalone practice in Winnington, Cheshire. This is a full time RVN position, working 4 days per week, with 1 in 10+ shared night/weekend rota.  Ideally candidates will  have a minimum of one year’s experience but all qualified applications will be considered.

The Role:

 We are looking for at least two RVNs to add to our growing practice team.

 The right candidates will truly care for our patients, be good team players and be enthusiastic, proactive and motivated to provide a high quality first opinion service to our patients and clients.

 The nursing team are involved in all aspects of the practice, including provision of 24 hour on site inpatient care.

 The feeling of a good job done well and seeing that really poorly inpatient get better and go home makes it worthwhile.

 The nursing rota is being updated and refined for the expanding and growing team, with extensive

consultation within the practice.

 It is anticipated that it will be a 4-day working week (shifts a combination of 8-5, 10-7 or 11-8), with 1:10+ shared weekends (with days off in lieu) and 1:10+ week of overnight care (7:30pm-8:30am) with the following week off.  The shifts are shared across the sites to maintain our one team approach.

About the practice:

The Veterinary Hospital in Sandiway is an independent RCVS accredited small animal hospital, nurse training practice and gold cat friendly clinic which strives to provide the highest standards of first opinion care for all patients and clients.  They are proud to provide 24hr emergency cover. 

In addition the practcie boasts a second site in nearby Winnington Village – a brand-new purpose-built standalone practice. Here they provide the same standard of care, with only overnight inpatient care and the emergency service being transferred to their hospital.

Currently the practice has ten vets with Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine and are fully supported by an experienced and dedicated front of house team. Visiting Specialist vets in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging also attend the practice, allowing provision of fantastic standards of care to all patients and the opportunity to care for interesting and challenging cases.
