This is a fantastic opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon, who is experienced in exotics, to join the expanding team at our new 24-hour hospital in Horsford, Norwich. The ideal candidate will have experience working with exotics, either hold or be studying towards a Certificate and preferably have an interest in developing external referral and internal transfer work. 

The role will involve working within our team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons and complement the existing team. As a Medivet main centre this facility is fed by our busy surrounding branches and so an interesting and varied caseload is guaranteed.  

The successful candidate will also be comfortable with routine surgical procedures and enjoy building good relationships with colleagues and clients. You will have a positive attitude and want to progress and develop your knowledge and skills further to provide gold-standard care through an evidence-based medicine approach to cases.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary package up to £61,469 per annum depending on experience, to include:

-Basic salary up to £50,000 per annum

-£6,600 accommodation allowance per annum

-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum

-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum

-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

-4 day week plus 1 in 6 weekends

Medivet Horsford is set in a spacious practice that comes fully equipped with separate dog, cat & exotics wards, high quality ultrasound machine, endoscopy, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, multi-parameter monitoring and holds a cat friendly status. Along with our expertise in all furry creatures, we have a special interest in the treatment of exotic pets. Our specialist equipment enables us to provide a high standard of care for all our patients, including smaller ultrasound probes, endoscopy systems, a dedicated exotics ward and special dentistry equipment and instruments for smaller patients.

Our Hospital provides 24 hour care to the surrounding region and referral work in exotic medicine.
