Bell Equine
Experienced Stud Vet required at Bell Equine
Are you an experienced stud vet looking to join a progressive team?
Are you looking for a flexible working pattern?
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic ambulatory stud vet to expand our current team. Our season consists of mainly sports horse work, predominantly from the clinic but with some smaller studs in the surrounding area. We cover a large area of Kent and therefore see a large volume of foals requiring care and management. Knowledge and experience to be sole charge is preferred but some training can be provided for the right person.
The stud rota is 1 in 2 from (mid-April to mid-August), with no out of hours through the rest of year. The successful candidate would join the ambulatory team but would work alongside specialists in equine medicine, sports medicine, diagnostic imaging and surgery based in the clinic. We have excellent facilities (including MRI, scintigraphy, electro chemotherapy and over-ground scope) together with comprehensive EVN support. We also have all the mobile equipment required to work up cases to a high level on the road when required. We have regular clinical discussions within the clinic and a super team approach to all cases. We fully support further education and RCVS certificates.
This position could be a fixed term or a permanent role for the right candidate. We could also accommodate this being a part time role (minimum 3 days a week) or someone requiring flexible working hours. Start date is very negotiable, starting before the stud season would enable the team member to become familiar with Bell Equine and would form part of the ambulatory team in the off-season.
Package and Benefits Include
Please contact Emma Cooper for further information at emma.cooper@bellequine.com or for an informal chat on 07824771698. Alternatively, please apply via the link to our portal.
