The Role
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. Day to day duties include consultations, diagnostics and operating, largely based in our Barnstaple surgery as part of a 3-vet team. The role will be full time, 40 hours per week which can be spread over 4 or 5 days. There will be some Saturday surgeries (9am-5pm), approximately one per month. Currently out of hours cover is required at a rate of 1 in 5/6 1st call, rising to 1 in 7/8 next year. Salary range £35,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.
About Us
We are a longstanding, two-site, mixed practice in beautiful North Devon. The role will be predominantly in our Barnstaple branch which is 100% small animal and some exotics. We are well equipped to allow compre-hensive workups, and you will be encouraged to own your cases. We complete a wide range of surgical procedures; our equipment includes standard and dental x-ray, full lab, endoscopy (rigid scope, flexible endoscope and bronchoscope, ultrasound, tonometer, orthopaedics,
k-laser. Barnstaple is a vibrant town, well placed to access the breath-taking, world-famous surfing beaches, stunning coastal walks, and peaceful Exmoor, yet still within easy reach of major road, rail links as well as Exeter airport for access to the wider country and beyond.
We have a great opportunity to join our welcoming and supportive team of 11 Vets, including 2 certificate holders in surgery and medicine. We have a great team of 11 RVNs and 2 animal care assistants. Helping us all and our clients, we have a dedicated team of 12 customer support.
