Are you motivated by clinical excellence rather than clinical targets?

Are you looking for a fulfilling career where you can inspire the next generation of vets, while maintaining clinical distinction, and still have time for interesting research?

Following significant clinical salary restructuring, the Division of Small Animal Clinical Sciences is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated internal medicine clinician.

The ideal candidate will have completed an ECVIM or ACVIM approved residency or hold an ECVIM or ACVIM postgraduate diploma in Small Animal Internal Medicine or equivalent (Senior Clinician) but residency-trained colleagues due to sit exams and experienced advanced practitioners will also be considered (Clinician). The post offers a significant element of ‘off clinics’ time for research and scholarship (including exam study). The role will also involve the delivery of clinical teaching to undergraduates, interns and residents.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team within our award-winning state-of-the-art Small Animal Hospital, based on the beautiful Garscube estate, 10 minutes’ drive from the vibrant “West End” of Glasgow, and less than one hour from Loch Lomond. Our facilities include on-site 1.5T MRI, CT, C-arm fluoroscopy, a range of Olympus and KarlStorz endoscopes, a linear accelerator and radio-iodine unit. We have a dedicated ICU and excellent in-house laboratory. Our ‘One Hospital’ team ethos ensures exceptional clinical care can be delivered to our patients, and supports the continual professional development of our vets, nurses and support.

Salary: Senior Clinician £53,348 – £85,000 Clinician £44,706 – £75,000.

Plus an additional generous OOH supplement and 21.4% employer pension contribution.
