An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon to join our 24-hour hospital in Enfield on the border of London and Essex.

We see surgical cases for 13 branches (as well as our own routine and more complex cases!). There is a varied caseload; mainly consisting of cruciate repairs, fracture repairs, complex lump removals and wound management, BOAS assessment etc.

Orthopaedic confidence is a must and ideally experience with TPLO surgery however there is an opportunity to learn new techniques and develop your skills with ease in the role.

This role works to a 4-day rota with either 1:3 Saturdays or Sundays or 1:6 full weekends and 2 to 3 weeks on call per year.

Salary & Benefits: (For Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon)

-Very competitive salary depending on experience

-£10,200 accommodation allowance per annum

-Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance per annum

-£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave per annum

-VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

-5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays per annum

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Branch:

Medivet Enfield is an established hospital led by Branch Partner Kelly.

Our busy hospital offers state of the art facilities including laparoscopy equipment, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment (and separate orthopaedic theatre), digital and dental X-rays, in house bloods, ultrasound, radioiodine treatment unit. We also have easy access to CT and MRI .

This cat friendly clinic has a large, enthusiastic and experienced team made up of five vets, two night vets, eight nurses and reception team.
