Key responsibilities include:
- The successful candidates will assist in aspects of patient management including consultations, admissions, anaesthesia, diagnostic investigations (including CT and endoscopy), surgery, and post-operative care.
- This is an opportunity to work in an exotic species referral level veterinary environment and will provide good preparation for advanced veterinary training such as certification or residency.
- This position will require out of hours, bank holiday and weekend work with back up from an advanced practitioner.
Key requirements include:
- Applicants must have completed their PDP and have been in practice a minimum of one year, be comfortable with soul charge, basic surgical techniques and case management.
- They must work effectively and efficiently with a range of people and be willing to work alongside university level students.
- A willingness to present at conferences, to the general public and to other veterinary colleagues is ideal.
- They must have good written and spoken English and have the right to work in the UK (UK or EU citizenship, or UK working VISA for the duration of the internship).
