An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Seafield Veterinary Group, Keith!

Daily duties will be shared with other mixed vets, will include either small animal from any of our three practices or Large animal work from our Keith practice.

The rota will be available in advance of 16 weeks so vets should know where they will be and when in advance. Responsibilities' will include own time management mix well and work well as a team member.

Working up and completing own caseloads and tasks. Ideally the candidate will work a 5 day week, the rota will be an OOH 1:4 weekends. There will be adequate "Time-Off" for carrying out OOH duties, which at the moment in a 1:3 out of hours there are 3, 4-day weeks within a month.

We are a three-centre practice in Keith, Buckie and Banff. We carry out our LA and OOH in Keith.

All of our practices are well equipped with the latest X-Ray, Scanners and Blood machines. We are still a very traditional "Mixed Countryside Practice" and we still have that very unique style and feel with in the practice. We are very much a part of the farming community set in the very picturesque countryside.

The Banffshire area is central to larger cities such as Aberdeen and Inverness. The countryside and coastline are breath-taking where exciting countryside pursuits are right on our doorstep.

We have 10 veterinary surgeons, some of which do mixed work, and some do SA only. We have 6 RVN's and around 13 Support staff. Currently we only have 1 Certificate holder in LA. However, we as a practice encourage further education and would welcome vets who wish to pursue a certificate. We would like to think the successful candidate would "fit right in" with our current hard working and friendly team.

We acknowledge that we are all from a varied background with regards to our interests and knowledge of the veterinary profession most of which is driven by our own interests. That's why we as a practice encourage integration and knowledge sharing between our team and that way, we can all benefit from our own different experiences.

Ideally the right candidate will have experience in Mixed Veterinary work. Have a keen interest mostly in Farm work but able to carry out SA and Equine duties too, however a fondness in dealing with a variety of species would be ideal.

Essential qualifications are member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We are seeking the right candidate who is willing to work as part of an ever-growing hard-working team. Get on well with staff and clients alike and have a willingness to learn from others as well as pass on their vital knowledge in a very busy but extremely happy working environment.
