The Role

We are currently looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team at Pool House Veterinary Group! This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 3 days with one early finish (4:30pm) and one-half day (1pm). There will be approximately one weekday night every couple of weeks and one weekend per month: either a Saturday day and Saturday night with a day off in-lieu or a Saturday day, Sunday day and Sunday night with Monday and Tuesday off.

Your time is split between working at the hospital and at a branch enabling a client base to be built at both locations and the continuity of your cases. Travel time being no more than 30 minutes between each branch.

The daily rota is split to allow you to perform surgery & work up your cases each day of the week.

About Us

We are a passionate, ambitious, and tight knit team based at the cathedral city of Lichfield. Our team is made up of 14 Veterinary Surgeons who are all supported by an amazing team of experienced Veterinary Nurses.

Our tier 3 hospital is supported by 3 local branches. We are close to Cannock Chase and easy driving distance to Birmingham.

We all share ideas and help each other and backed up by two certificate holders (ECC and Anaesthesia/Analgesia) along with multiple colleagues who have a special interest in soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery and diagnostic imaging.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded Veterinary Surgeon who prides themselves on their bed side manner and their drive to provide the best care for their patients.
