Veterinary Surgeon required for Abbey Veterinary Centre in Durham

The role

An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a veterinary surgeon to join our great team. Our practice doesn't offer OOH, we use Vets now for that, we have an excellent relationship with surrounding referral practices. We are quite flexible with regards to rotas, all our vets work different hours however, our ideal candidate would work four 9 hour days and one in three or four Saturdays. However if you would rather work a 5 day week  and less hours per day, we are open to this also. The salary banding for this role is between £37,000 - £49,000 dependent on experience

About us: 

We are a 100% small animal practice with a team of experienced vets and nurses. We have 9 RVN's and we have three vets enrolled into certificates. We have a lot of staff who have worked here for a long time and we'd be happy for you to chat with any of our team members to see if this position is for you. We're all about quality, not quantity. It is important that staff get time to do a proper work up. Even in the current quite hectic situation we do everything we can to keep the workload under control and to ensure our staff have a good work life balance. We are an extremely friendly practice and have an excellent reputation with our clients.

Applicant requirements: 

We're looking for 1+ years experience ideally - it would be preferable if you can do basic ops like castrates, spays, dentals and uncomplicated mass removals yourself - of course help is available when needed but some independency is an advantage. Consults will have to be done independently but again, help is available. Most important is motivation and a positive attitude!
