The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered Veterinary Nurse, to join our friendly team at Shortheath Veterinary Surgery. The role involves general vet nursing duties which include blood sampling and IV cathe-terisation, anaesthetic monitoring, assisting with surgeries, patient clinics as well as some reception work. The hours are 37.5 hours a week which include1 in 4 Saturday mornings. No OOH work is required in this role.

About Us

We are family run, friendly and have a well-equipped working environment with enthusiastic and supportive staff, as well as RCVS accreditation (core standards). We have many insured clients and are located in a beautiful part of Surrey with very quick connections to London and the South Coast. Equipment includes digital x-rays (including dental), Idexx Catalyst & Procyte, high spec ultrasound scanner, Laser and a range of other equipment that would be expected
in a progressive Small Animal general practice.

We have a team of 4 experienced vets with certificates in ophthalmology and small animal medicine. We work very much as team supporting each other with cases. Our nursing team consists of 6 fully qualified nurses and one trainee. While working together we aim to have a very positive working environment where we encourage each other.

Applicant Requirements

Experience in this role would be advantageous. Working as part of a team is an essential aspect of the job. A positive and enthusiastic outlook would be ideal! Continuing professional development is paid for and encouraged. There is scope to expand the nursing clinics.
