Role:  NIGHT Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (ECC)

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Hours: Permanent, Full time, shift pattern currently 4 on 8 off rota,

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience -£48-60k per annum, open dependent on experience and skill level

Night ECC Small Animal VET required for the leading independent practice in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

It is very important to the practice that all applicants understand the important relationship between the practice and its clients, and how despite their size and how much they have grown, that they are there for the owners and their animals as much as they have always been. They pride themselves on providing ‘total care’ for pets and the help they can give in all aspects of pet ownership. The Role:

As a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for this practice, you need to be a good general practitioner, in all areas of consultations and surgeries. You must have the ability to do sole charge comfortably and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience post qualification, ideally. This role is solely night based, therefore some experience in ECC work previously is sort and seen as advantageous.

We are looking for a highly motivated vet who wants to work in a busy independent practice with a strong support system. There are staff onsite 24/7 and you will be one of the Vets during the out of hours nights team, this is a waking nights role, with other vets on call should you need assistance. A very supportive network is already in place. Your surrounding will be luxurious, in a state of the art, hospital status practice, with all the usual toys for you to use.

The individual will be happy to work independently but enjoy being part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team. The role offers clinical freedom with a strong team spirit.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time contract, nights only, between the hours of 7:15pm – 7:45am, 4 days on rota and followed by 8 days off, rolling rota.
