Job Type: Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon – New grad / Experienced / Cert Holder

Salary: £30,000 - £65,000 pa DOE

Vet salary will be commensurate with experience and whether car, fuel card and accommodation are required.

Hours:   5-day week (will reduce to 4-day week after 1 year service)

1:3 Saturday mornings, 1:6 Weekends, 1 night a week on call

Part time hours are negotiable but ideally at least 2 full days per week plus the below weekend rota cover.

This friendly practice is well established in the local area and boosts a close-knit team of experienced veterinary professionals.

Due to tremendous growth, the practice is now looking to add to their team with immediate effect.

Role

5-day week (will reduce to 4-day week after 1 year service), 1:3 Saturday mornings, 1:6 weekends (which will include 1 of your Saturday mornings) and 1 night a week on call.

Part time hours are negotiable but ideally at least 2 full days per week plus the below weekend rota cover

As a Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon, you will need to be able and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures of general practice. Confident and competent in the role, some sole charge in work. There will always be another more experienced vet on call should you require a second opinion.

The mix is 85% small animal, 10% equine and 5% farm animal.

My clients will consider a new grad vet, a more experienced vet, and / or a medicine of surgical certificate holder.

Development and progression are important to the practice, as they grow and evolve, but finding the right person is key. The practice is looking for someone to work with the existing clients, and deliver their high excellent standard of patient care. The team currently have strong work ethics to ensure quality and effective work is carried out to gain the best overall satisfied results for the patient and the client.

They have all the latest gadgets are available on site, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, a brand new in house Idexx lab and a K-Laser.

They boast a 24hr hospital as well as several smaller, but perfectly equipped, satellite sites.

The practice is looking for a team player, who also has the confidence to work independently.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Qualified Vet
  • Membership of the RCVS essential.
  • My clients are open to options, and will consider a new grad vet, a more experienced vet, and / or a medicine or surgical certificate holder.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
