MATERNITY COVER VETERINARY SURGEON- BIGGIN HILL

We are seeking a maternity cover veterinary surgeon for a 12-month fixed term contract to cover our lovely lead vet Charlotte’s maternity leave.

The successful candidate will be part of a two-vet practice supported by an experienced nursing team.

The practice- ‘Darwin Vets’/ Medivet Biggin Hill is well located on the Kent, Greater London, Surrey border in a residential area just off the main high street and has a great, loyal client base.

Looking after our team as well as providing exceptional client and patient care are top priorities. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, very high clinical standards, and at least three years UK small animal experience (or UK equivalent).

The clinic is well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, ECG and ophthalmic equipment- including an operating microscope so may suit someone with a keen eye interest.  Well located to use our 24-hour hospital in Beckenham for support and overnight hospitalisation facilities which is less than a half hour drive away.

The clinic forms a network of practices which allow expertise sharing and case discussions between colleagues, as well as regular free CPD events.

The role would suit someone looking for a 4-day working week but there are flexible options in terms of hours or days worked.  There is a shared Saturday rota with a maximum of a one in three pattern.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary of up to £65,000 dependant on experience.

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave, and in-house CPD training VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
