WHO ARE WE?

WE ARE DOVECOTE

We achieved hospital status in 1995 and have a large team of dedicated staff, and extensive facilities in order to offer caring and comprehensive services to both referring vets and pet owners alike.

State-of-the-art digital imaging facilities: digital X-ray, MRI and CT scanning machines are all right here on site.

Small Animal Neurology Specialist – Dovecote Veterinary Hospital, East Midlands, UK

Due to our continued growth and success, we have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious specialist in neurology to join our team. The neurology/neurosurgery team includes two ECVN Diplomates, two Board-eligible Diplomates and two residents.

Dovecote is a well-equipped hospital, with MRI, CT, electrophysiology, and neurosurgical equipment on site. We are currently undergoing development and will have a 1.5T MRI operating by November. We are a diploma-led referral centre with specialities in Neurology, Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology and Dermatology. We see referral cases from practices across the Midlands and are a clinical associate practice for University of Nottingham Veterinary School.

Dovecote Veterinary Hospital is part of the CVS Referrals network, so you will be joining a large network of multiple specialists across our seven UK referral locations with some of the best known names in veterinary neurology. You will also benefit from the support of our Teleneurology service headed by Laurent Garosi and Simon Platt and a Teleradiology service led by Tim Trevail.

Dovecote Veterinary Hospital is located in the heart of the Midlands, 10 minutes from East Midlands airport, 30 minutes from the Peak District and 20 minutes from both Nottingham and Derby.

Benefits include a very competitive salary and bonus package, an excellent company pension scheme, company share-save scheme, life assurance cover, private health care, 10 days CPD with generous budget and 7 weeks annual leave (+ Bank Holidays). If you are relocating, we are also able to offer generous financial support towards this.

To be considered, you will need to be a Diplomat in Veterinary neurology; however, ‘exam-ready' applicants are also encouraged to apply. Excellent team working, communication skills and a good sense of humour are essential in our small, close-knit team.
