Job Details

Equine Vet required for a friendly, independent, first opinion equine practice based in a lovely part of rural north Essex.  

Easy access to central London and Stansted airport etc.  Modern well equipped clinic with stables, own practice laboratory, stocks, knock down /recovery box etc.

We have an extremely varied case load, ranging from competition and pleasure type horses, through TB stud and racing work, to export certification etc.

 Fully equipped with mobile digital wi fi radiography, digital ultrasound,  digital endoscopy /gastroscopy, and motorised dentistry etc.  Ample opportunity to work up your own caseload with support from the team when required.  

Experience preferred, would consider part-time applications or an enthusiastic new graduate.  Currently sharing a 1:5 out of hours rota (with two other local equine clinics).  Salary commensurate with experience. 

This position would ideally suit someone who would like to build on their current experience and go on to study for a certificate.

We are a 100% equine clinic located in a lovely rural setting in north Essex, (close to Stansted airport).  We offer a friendly and personal service and always try to treat our clients and their horses as individuals.  We have been nominated for the annual Pet Plan awards every year since their inception.  The clinic is well equipped with digital X-Rays, ultrasound and endoscopy, power dental tools etc.  There is an extremely varied workload, ranging form high quality TB stud work, working at the Chelmsford race track, riding school inspections, export certification, through to sports and leisure horses etc.  We have our own practice laboratory (haematology /biochemistry worm egg counts etc).  Shared out of hours rota with two other local equine clinics.  We are proud of the fact that previous assistants have subsequently gone on to careers at Rossdales in Newmarket and the following Universities, (Minnesota, Dublin, Liverpool and Edinburgh).
