Finn Pathologists is dedicated to providing a quality diagnostic laboratory service to the veterinary industry. Receiving in excess of 200,000 submissions per year, with sites in Harleston and Weybread in East Anglia, we are currently recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Immunohistochemistry Technician to join our team of 100 staff and to spearhead our immunohistochemistry diagnostics.

Our immunohistochemistry diagnostic service is at an exciting juncture, with investment taking place to improve existing technology and training and with a vision to expand services further.

Reporting to the Histology Manager and working alongside a team of Anatomical Pathologists and Laboratory Technicians, the Senior Immunohistochemistry Technician will take responsibility for delivery of immunohistochemistry services and will have the opportunity to provide technical expertise to advise on the growth of the service.

Based at our Weybread site, you would be responsible for:

  • Successful delivery of immunohistochemistry diagnostics and management of the immunohistochemistry laboratory.


  • Providing vision and expertise in developing staff and procedures and supporting the growth of the business through development of the immunohistochemistry service.


  • Supporting the day-to-day duties of the production Histology Laboratory, where directed and where suitably trained.


Essential criteria for applicants:

  • Holds at least a Bachelor of Science level qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Has at least 2 years' experience within a busy histology laboratory environment.
  • Has at least 2 years' experience within an immunohistochemistry laboratory.
