We are an established Small Animal Veterinary Practice. Our five vet surgeries in Totnes, Paignton, Ashburton, Brixham and Dartmouth cover Dartmoor, Torbay and the South Hams. Our facilities include a large clinical care area with operating rooms, separate kennel rooms for cats and dogs, and even walk-in kennels for the bigger customers.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Out Of Hours Patient Care Assistant to join our team here at Dart Vale.
This role is a fixed term position for an initial duration of 9 months. You will be working 1:3 weeks Monday-Monday 7:00pm-8:00am, with 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak (28 hours per week).
This role will involve animal handling, assisting vets and nurses in restraining animals for treatment, cleaning, walking and feeding patients, general cleaning and maintenance duties, answering phone calls, reception cover, greeting clients and providing the highest standards of animal and customer care.
We are looking for someone who really cares about animals. Our ideal candidate will have had some experience with animals before, have excellent interpersonal skills and be a real team player.
