Mixed Veterinary Surgeon required for Academy Vet Centre in Dumfries & Galloway
The Role
Vets have the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine caring for all companion animals and livestock. Around 50% of the practice work is large animal, the remaining 50% companion animal and equine. Our vets have a mixed case load caring for everything from extensive dairy and beef farming enterprises to tortoises! We work over 5 days with an equal share of the out of hours on-call rota. There are always two vets always on call, for support. Accommodation and a car are included in the package.

Academy Vet Centre is a truly mixed practice situated in a beautiful part of South West Scotland. We have an exceptional team of ten veterinary surgeons who, together with our nursing and admin team, combine experience and expert knowledge with modern, up-to-date ideas and techniques to bring our clients comprehensive, professional and caring service. We have all the usual mod cons, including digital X-ray and full range of laboratory equipment.
Applicant Requirements
Hard working, reliable, compassionate, enthusiastic. Previous experience in mixed practice would be beneficial but new graduate applications welcomed.
