We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team as a Head Veterinary Nurse at our Ashby practice in Scunthorpe.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as assisting with training our student nurses through clinical coaching. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.

This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week over 5 days, however flexible working requirements will also be considered to suit your individual needs. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 full weekends and a fair share of bank holidays and on call.

Salary up to £29,000 per annum depending on experience

£300 CPD allowance plus 2 days CPD leave per annum and in-house CPD available

RCVS and BVA fees paid 

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Branch:

Medivet Ashby is a large busy practice with 3 consult rooms, 1 double surgical theatre, dental suite, digital x-ray room, prep area, separate dog and cat isolation rooms, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment and inhouse blood machines.

Scunthorpe is located in North Lincolnshire just off the M180 and M18 motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and York. It is a bustling town with restaurants, cinema, shopping parks and many other activities.

For those who enjoy country air and long walk, Scunthorpe is a stones throw away from the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the highest land between Kent and Yorkshire. In the Wold there are many quaint market villages with plenty of independent shops and history to explore.
