Veterinary Surgeon - Catterick

We have a rare and exciting opportunity at our Catterick Vets4Pets surgery for a vibrant, enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join the team.

Being just four miles off the A1, we have great transport links, and our location is just a stone’s throw from the pretty Yorkshire Dales towns of Richmond and Ripon. We are opening on a recently built town centre shopping area which has most of the big name shops, supermarkets, a seven screen cinema, hotels and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants. Directly behind the practice is a brand new sports centre, pool and gym. Our base includes many highly respected armed forces families from Catterick Garrison as well as the local community.

The practice owner has twenty three years experience of both mixed and small animal practice, and has interests in cardiology and ultrasonography. She is keen to share her knowledge and build a team with as many areas of interest as possible. We want you to know that we are a family orientated and friendly team who have genuine empathy for our patients. We are happy to support you and you will play a key role in our professional enthusiastic team.

The role is full time, 40 hours per week with 1 in 3 Saturdays only, and no additional OOH requirements. 

The  Catterick surgery is built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound and in house laboratory facilities.

By joining us you will be part of a team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. You will need to be adaptable and flexible in your approach.
Ideally you will have maybe a little experience in surgery and medicine; however we are happy to consider a new graduate. We like people to have the time to follow through their own cases from start to finish, and we are also more than happy to provide support where it is needed. We are a single site practice so no travelling between branches.

We ideally need someone to work two full days each week (which may be at the weekend sometimes) but there will be no OOH. We may consider full time hours for the right candidate
