The role

We are seeking an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our successful Region in East Yorkshire, Swanbridge Veterinary Group. We welcome part-time hours and are flexible so please apply and we can talk further.

Joining our professional, fun, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

We collaborate between all the branches so you are supported whether sole charge or in one of the larger branches.

Branch

Our Swanbridge group has a busy 3 Tier Hospital complete with seven branch surgeries. This role will be based in the area and will work in some of the local practices alongside experienced vets as well as time in our hospital.

We have fantastic clients and we are active in the local community. We take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice.

You will be working within beautiful, well-equipped practices and have access to modern facilities including digital X-ray, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy and a CT diagnostic suite at our Hospital.

We actively encourage personal development and patient continuity.

Competitive package, hours to suit and generous CPD, housing and car allowance.
