Veterinary/Student Veterinary Nurse vacancy - Permanent

We are recruiting an enthusiastic registered veterinary nurse or student veterinary nurse, as an additional member of our friendly, expanding team. If you are a small animal nurse who loves horses and has always wanted to work in the equine sector, this would be perfect for you! Student veterinary nurses in small animal or equine practice are also welcome to apply. Knowledge of horses and significant horse handling skills are essential.

We are a tier 4 equine only veterinary hospital with 26 veterinary surgeons working for the practice, supported by over 28 nursing, stable and office staff. BEVC offers a professional, efficient and compassionate service to our clients and their horses, as well as pursuing the goal of clinical excellence. Bell Equine is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accredited practice.

This role is full time based on a 40hr week. Monday – Friday between hours of 8am and 5.30pm. OOH cover will be required. Salary dependant on experience.

Person Specification

You will need a good level of veterinary nursing experience and the ability to competently handle horses of all ages, size and breeds. You will have high standards of animal care and welfare, be passionate about client care and experience, be an effective team player and have a calm and systematic approach under pressure. You are friendly, down-to-earth, and have a genuine passion for your role and the veterinary industry. Experience with imaging such as MRI and scintigraphy would be advantageous.
