The Role

We are currently looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on a fixed term maternity cover contract. This can be a full-time or part time role working up to 40 hours a week with regular days off. There will be 1 in 6 Saturdays and Bank Holidays are shared between our Veterinary Surgeons which roughly works out to be 1-2 a year. There are no out of hours with this role. All our Veterinary Surgeons time is split between a mix of consulting and surgery with some also being involved in an emergency and critical care role and dentistry. Consulting is split between our main hospital site at Backworth and our
5 smaller branches. Most of our Veterinary Surgeons split their time between Backworth and 1 dedicated branch. 

About Us

We are a large, multi-site practice in the Northeast of England with a range of experience across the team. We have modern, high-quality equipment including a CT scanner, dental x-ray, DR x-ray and laparos-copy. We aim to provide our patients and clients with a gold standard level of care.

Our practice has a friendly and supportive team, including several certificate holders with a wide variety of interests. There is a great team atmosphere and help is always at hand, especially for those tricky cases!

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring veterinary surgeon with excellent communication skills. Applicants of all experience levels will be welcomed.
